INTRAMURAL LEAGUES -Â SUMMER 2012
SUMMER INTRAMURALS
For the first time we will be adding some summer intramurals for those of you who are still in Ottawa over the summer. This year we will be offering MEN’S SOCCER on Thursdays and MEN’S HOCKEY on Sundays. We have chosen those leagues because the demand for spaces in those leagues greatly outweighed the number of spaces and many people missed out on being able to play over the winter season. Female players are absolutely welcome to play in these leagues, but the majority of the players are likely to be men.Â
We also offer Basketball (Coed/Men’s/Women’s), Rec Ball Hockey and Coed Soccer in our Adult Rec Leagues. Full league details can be found on the website. Although these leagues (unlike the intramurals) are open to non-Carleton community members, we do offer the following discounts for individual registrations:Â
- 25% Â Student discount to returning CU students
- 15% Alumni discount
Are you new to intramurals at Carleton?
We have a handy guide to intramurals caled “Intramurals 101“. Many of the most common questions are answered there or in our Intramural FAQs section.
If you are having trouble getting registered online try:Â Section 3: Sign Up. Or register in person at the Welcome Centre in Alumni Hall.Â
Once you have signed up for intramurals, schedules and team lists will be posted here as soon as they are available:Â
http://www5.carleton.ca/athletics/intramurals/schedulesÂ
No schedules will be posted until after the league sells out or after registration closes on SEPTEMBER 14th.Â

We offer Carleton University students, staff and Faculty an opportunity to compete in a wide range of sports with other Carleton students. Carleton Intramurals are exclusively for Carleton students, staff, faculty and gym members. We also have our Adult Recreational Leagues which are open to everyone. All leagues take place right here on campus in Carleton University’s multimillion dollar athletics and recreation facilities.Â
Continue to play a sport that you already enjoy or try something new. It’s a great place for you to get fit, meet new people and have some fun. With about 5,000 people participating in 9 sports and 15 different leagues last year, we really do have something for everyone. More leagues being added for 2009-10. Carleton University Intramurals are bigger and better than ever!Â
Â
Remember, we have instituted the rule that no player may play without the correctly coloured and numbered shirt for their team, so it is vital that all teams and individuals pick up their shirts before their first game.Â
Campus Safety: If you are concerned about leaving the athletics centre late in the evening, please remember that foot patrol is available to accompany you to your residence or car.Â
