Carleton University is recognized for excellence in research and scholarship, and seeks to recruit top-notch faculty to advance this reputation. The University offers an intellectual and collaborative community of scholars, a strong infrastructure of support for applied and theoretical research, as well as an inclusive and collegial culture that values both individual expertise and personal aspirations.
In its short history Carleton University has evolved from a small college to a vibrant, research-intensive university with 27,000 undergraduate students, close to 3,000 graduate students and 800 faculty members. The University’s six Faculties (Arts and Social Sciences, Public Affairs, Engineering and Design, Science, the Sprott School of Business, and Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs) along with the MacOdrum Library offer a wealth of programs of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Carleton University is strongly committed to fostering diversity within its community as a source of excellence, cultural enrichment, and social strength. We welcome those who would contribute to the further diversification of our University including, but not limited to, women, visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of any sexual orientation or gender identity. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Applications from Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
