ACADEMIC DEADLINES

Now –Thinking about your course selections for the upcoming 2012 fall and 2013 winter terms? A listing of course offerings (with scheduled dates and times) is available in Carleton Central and the Public Class Schedule for students to view.

June 30 – Final deadline for summer term fee payment.

July 1 – Holds will be placed on all unpaid student accounts, which will prevent access to marks, official documents, and/or registration for the 2012-13 Fall/Winter course selection. Extended payment charge (EPC) is charged on all accounts with an outstanding balance (including late summer).

July 2 – Statutory Holiday. University closed.

July 3 – Late summer courses begin and full summer courses resume. Note that late registration charges take effect at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) for students registering only in Late Summer courses (July-August courses).

July 6 – Fall Registration:  Graduate Students (including transfers) can register effective this date for Fall 2012 and Fall/Winter 2012-13 classes. Please note that times for graduate student registration are staggered by student ID on this date. You are welcome to call the Graduate Registrar’s office for assistance. Registration will continue until September 19.  More information about registration assistance for new grad students is available here.

July 10 – Last day for registration and course changes for late summer courses

July 20 – Last day for a full fee adjustment when withdrawing from Late Summer courses (financial withdrawal).

July 27 – Last day to submit exam accommodations to the Paul Menton Centre

Aug. 1 – Last day for submission to your thesis supervisor of six examination copies of your Master’s or your PhD theses for Fall graduation.

Aug. 1 – Extended payment charge (EPC) is charged on all accounts with an outstanding balance.

Aug. 6 – Civic Holiday. University closed.

Aug. 15 – Last day of late and full summer term classes

Aug. 15 – Last day for academic withdrawal from late summer and full summer courses and any other courses that end this term.

Aug. 18-23 – Final exams for full summer and late summer courses

Aug. 31 – Final payment deadline for your entire student account for Fall 2012. Late charges may be applied to your student account any time after this date.

Sept. 1 – Application deadline for Fall graduation

Sept. 3 – Stat Holiday. University closed.

Sept. 4 – FGPA Orientation and TA Orientation for new graduate students

Sept. 6 – Fall and Winter classes begin. Late charges now apply.
