Home / Research

The worldwide growth in cognitive science research is reflected in the growth of research capacity at the Institute of Cognitive Science. The number of core faculty, and graduate students has steadily increased in the last few years. In early 2007 the construction of the VSIM building was completed. VSIM is the new home of a number of interdisciplinary research laboratories where a significant number of cognitive research projects are carried out.

Check the Labs section for an overview of our affiliated laboratories at Carleton University.

Most research areas in cognition are represented at the Institute of Cognitive Science. View the Research Clusters for an overview of the major issues addressed by the faculty and graduate students.  The research interests of individual faculty members can be found at the core faculty and adjunct faculty listings.

Technical Reports

The Technical Reports site (maintained by Jim Davies) provides a selection of the research work by faculty members and students of the Institute of Cognitive Science.
