Summer Orientation
Find out everything you need to know to succeed at Carleton University.
Attend a Summer Orientation session in July or August!
Our experienced team of student orientation leaders and support staff will help students:
- Register for courses;
- Have their course registration reviewed by an academic advisor;
- Find their way around campus;
- Meet new friends;
- Pick up their Campus Card and activate their MyCarleton email account; and
- Participate in an academic advising session with staff from the First-Year Registration Assistance program.
Concurrently, parents will learn about:
- the resources and services at Carleton University and how we support each student’s success;
- Understand how parents can support student success; and
- Get answers to questions or concerns by connecting with faculty, current students and staff.
Fall Orientation
The Student Experience Office, in partnership with on-campus student groups, organizes the annual Fall Orientation. The program is designed for new students and it aims to introduce them to the wide variety of academic resources and student activities on campus. The week includes:
- Ravenspolooza, a pep rally held on campus to support the Ravens;
- Carleton Expo, a fair of clubs, societies and services for that students can join;
- Student Success Workshops;
- Beach Day, a day of fun at Mooney’s Bay;
- Academic Orientation Day and New Student Convocation;
- A concert and much more!
All on- and off-campus university-run orientation activities are dry and no alcohol is served.
