University Safety is a department of the Finance and Administration Division of Carleton University. The department consists of Patrol Services, Parking Services, Technical Services and CUSERT to address the needs of the community for personal safety, protection of property and parking needs. We also have a community liaison officer who provides crime prevention services, liaises with various community groups and offers presentations on personal safety and crime prevention programs.

On May 9th, 2012, DUS received report of a theft from a vehicle within P2 Pay and Display parking lot. An individual reported that belongings had been removed from their vehicle while parked within the lot. The theft is believed to have occurred between 5:15PM and 8:20PM. Prohibited Activity – P9 Admin. Parking Garage
On April 30th, 2012, a group of individual were observed skateboarding within the P9 Admin. Parking Garage. Officers attended and the individuals were non-compliant with requests to cease activity. The individuals were further observed in a different location and officers were able to speak with the individuals. All were trespassed from campus.
Theft – Dunton Tower
On April 28th, 2012, DUS received report of a theft from the exterior of Dunton Tower. An individual reported securing their bicycle to a bicycle rack within the area.
