Now Hiring: First-in-Family Mentors for 2012-13
The Student Experience Office is now hiring a new team of mentors for the First-in-Family program for the 2012-13 academic year. We are hiring both mentors (who will receive a $500 honorarium for their work) and lead mentors (who will receive a $700 honorarium for their work).
The First-in-Family program is designed to help first-year first generation students (students for whom neither parent attended or graduated from a post-secondary institution) make a smooth transition from high school to university.
First-in-Family mentors are responsible for meeting one-on-one with mentees throughout the duration of the year and will also assist in the planning and delivery of monthly workshops and events. Lead mentors have additional leadership responsibilities.
